If I Were David Faurschou....

....I'd be checking to see how many of those provincial members I had in my camp a year ago were also federal members.  I'm going to bet lots.

I hear that the House of Commons is a lot better place to take a nap than the Leg.

Plus the pay is better too.

he is going for it, and so he should.

I would to see Harper get someone like Ron Evans or someone high profile to run for the seat. Not a lazy ineffective guy like Faurschou who's only accomplishment is getting relected.

He'd be the third straight MLA to quit on his constituancy(Connery in '92 and Pallister in '97) if he did. Sure, there's a good possibility that he could win it, but no one fights that hard to win a nomination and election just to walk away 9 months later. Besides, who in their right mind believes that the Portage la Prairie constituancy would stay blue in a by-election?

Dennis Rocan for Portage MP!

why would he walk away ?
let's count the reasons.

1. he gets out of the pc party of manitoba and all the bullshit that happens there.

2. his kids are grown up. he gets to actually do something in ottawa with a party that is in power.

3. pc manitoba will never win for the next 20 years.
